I bought a new PC laptop but it has a password on it that I do not know How can I unlock it?

Hi @irishamericaguy,

1. Are you able to unlock 1Password on your other computer(s) or mobile devices?
2. Are you syncing your 1Password data via Dropbox or a different cloud sync solution?

Only you would know the master password, there isn't a way to change the password without knowing the original password.

It sounds like 1Password on the new laptop found a different vault that you're not using and it is asking for the password for that vault. If that is the case, you should be able to change to the other vault to unlock it. First, we need to know the answers to the questions above and then we can tell you the next step.
