"1Password.agilekeychain is not a 1Password vault."

Win 10 64 bit computer.
I've never been able to get 1Password set up. When I try to accept the default setting I see "1Password.agilekeychain is not a 1Password vault. Changing your master password in the Mac version might correct this problem."

I'm using a PC, why am I getting a Mac merssage?

Thanks for your assistance.

  • Hi @BackupNow,

Are you syncing your 1Password data to your Windows 10 PC? If yes, are you using Dropbox or something else?

Can you take a screenshot of what the inside of your 1Password.agilekeychain folder looks like and upload it here?

As for the message, it's the default message we use since this was the common reason for what 1Password saw is the issue; the vault is missing a few critical files after someone copied or sync'ed from a Mac. We'll update it in the future to say change the password in the other 1Password app, rather than saying Mac version.
