@ohcibi: No. 1Password will check for a valid signature unless the check is disabled. Disabling it "on a per-extension basis" would just mean leaving a security hole that could be exploited all the same, so it isn't something that 1Password is designed to do.
Malware could simply impersonate one browser at a time until it found one that 1Password didn't bother to check; therefore you're no less secure disabling the signature check completely. I hope that helps clarify things! :)
