How do I recover my vault after a Windows restore. I forgot to sync my vault before the restore.

The vault was setup on my desktop. I had 1Password 4 running on Windows 10.

  • Hi @hmalkan,

Are you saying you've restored to an early backup that was created before you installed 1Password?

Can you check your Documents directory and check if there's a 1Password folder in it? If yes, can you tell me if there is any content inside the 1Password folder? If you see a Backup folder, go inside it, are there any zip files?

I restored my machine after installing 1password and adding many passwords for different sites.

I reinstalled 1Password and don't see anything. just want to know if there is a way to recover from the Cloud?

  • Hi @hmalkan,

So, you checked your Documents directory and there's no 1Password folder?

Unfortunately, if you didn't enable the sync first or back up your 1Password data, there isn't a way to recover the data. 1Password is a local encryption program, your data does not leave your drive unless you choose to move or sync your data onto the cloud.
