I get the "unable to connect to mini" error but upon second attempt the app opens. (The help message indicated the application would not open.) Is there anything I should fix?

    @dhmccabe: Often this happens during the update process, but the same OS X caching can cause it to happen other times as well. Be sure to restart your Mac, and make sure you don't have multiple copies of 1Password. Let me know how it turns out!
