Share button should be changed to Move IMO
Currently the way sharing works, items are copied to the target vault.
But these items aren't linked in any way and causes confusion due to duplicates and propagated changes.
How do they know which one to edit? A user will likely be confused as to why there are suddenly duplicates (I was.)
Now when a user edits the password in Personal vault and tells family/team member they changed it (thinking the shared one is changed too) there will be confusion. Now the user has to update every copy if they change the password (which causes password change friction if they choose to update it manually.)
Potential fixes:
Best: Change the Share button to a Move button so users aren't duplicating items all over the place. If a user deletes an item in a shared vault offer to instead move it to their personal vault on the confirmation dialog.
Good: Change the Share button so that it moves the item to the target vault. If the original creator tries to delete it from the shared vault, offer to move it back to personal vault instead of deleting. Also add an unshare button to move it back to personal vault.
Worse: Change the Share button to a Copy button to at least make the action performed clear (although I find this unhelpful especially with item updates.)
Hard/Impossible: Have the Share button keep each version in sync (although this may not be possible for technical reasons?) and then only show 1 copy when searching all vaults.
What do yall think?
Cheers.

Hi @jhands,
I've moved this thread to our Windows Beta forum as this is still a beta app with a lot of changes coming.
First, thank you for taking the time to write that, it really helps a lot.
We do agree that the Share button is not right for what it is doing. Right now, the Share button is limited to copying but we do plan to add Move, Duplicate and others to this "button" in the near future. This is currently consistent with most of our platforms, here's what the web app lets you do now:
The Share name is wrong but we don't know of a better one yet.
In addition, we do want to overhaul how sharing/moving/copying/etc works in 1Password on all platforms, we want this to be consistent and we want to enable more advanced sharing features in the future as well. We'd like to be able to link items as well but that's a bit far down the line.
