Not syncing all items between Win Beta & iOS
I've installed the new beta, migrated my data from my dropbox connected vault to my team vault, and clicked the 'Sync' button. I've got 259 items in my personal team vault. I then re-installed the iOS app, added my team vault, but only 98 personal vault items are showing up.
I don't see a way of forcing a sync and I tried re-installing the iOS app again but with no luck. Any ideas?
I've just checked 1Password on the web and it's missing items as well. So it looks like the beta isn't syncing correctly?

Hi @mrjamesmoore,
Can you confirm once again which 1Password version is installed, you wrote
2016.4.1806d
but we're at2016.6.305d
(several dozens of builds ahead of yours). To do this, open the 1Password 6 beta app, click on Settings on top right to see the installed version listed in the bottom of the Settings Menu.In the 1Password.com web app, do you notice any categories on the sidebar that's missing that should have content in it, specifically Passwords? We did have a limitation a few months ago where Passwords items are not uploaded when you migrate your vault.
Also, do not get rid of your Dropbox vault for the moment while testing 1Password 6 beta.

Yep I'm using 1806d. That's the version I got when I downloaded it from your website. How do I get the new version?

@mrjamesmoore: Oh dear. If you downloaded the 1Password 6 beta, that would explain it. As mentioned in the setup instructions in the beta announcement, you'll need to enter this URL into Edge or Internet Explorer to install the app properly:
https://cache.agilebits.com/dist/1P/win-desktop/AgileBits.OnePassword.Desktop.application
Downloading the app directly just gets you that specific version, so you've been running the same old beta you originally saved to your machine. Doing the installation method above gets you the latest version every time you open the app. Cheers! :)

@mrjamesmoore as @brenty correctly noticed you need to use IE or Edge to run that link, they know how to handle it and will install app with automatic updates enabled.
If you want to use Chrome - make sure you have one of the ClickOnce extensions installed.

Yep guys that's what I did. Used Edge to download it. Just tried it again. Entered that URL into edge. Still have the same old version. Anyway to force an update? I'm on Windows Insider build btw. Could that be causing an issue?0 -
Ok got it working. Have to use IE. Doesn't work in Edge (at least for me). Edge downloads the 1806d version.

Glad to hear it's working better now, I'm surprised that Edge fails, I'm also on Insider Build. We will keep an eye on it, the install/update technology is not set in stone and we may reconsider later.

Hi @mrjamesmoore,
When you said it is working now, do you mean the sync is working in both directions as well?

Yes thanks syncing is working now :)

I've done a little more testing of the issue RE IE and Edge and wrong version. I don't think it was that at all. What seems to be the issue (and I could be wrong again!) is after I installed the app I would pin it to my Taskbar. That seems to always open the version you FIRST installed. However if I pin the 1Password shortcut on the desktop to the Taskbar I see it check for a new version every time it opens plus it opens the most up-to-date version. Could that be the case? Not sure if this is just a 1Password issue or more generic to one-click installers??

@mrjamesmoore: Yes, you're correct! Thanks for bringing that up. The app installs the desktop shortcut, which will update itself automatically on launch. When it launches after updating, this will be the current version of the app...but if you pin that version to the task bar, next time you click it (and not the desktop icon), you're circumventing the update process to run that specific executable.
The 1Password 6 for Windows beta doesn't have its own updater. The ClickOnce .Net frameworks handle this, so when you run the executable itself, you'll be launching the same version every time since it's circumventing the update process. I hope this helps! :)
