My master pw does not work in some computers

Hi 1Pw,

I am using 1Pw in 3 Macs, 1 iPhone and 1 iPad. For some reason, my master pw works in 2 Macs and the iPhone. However, 1 Mac and 1 iPad are not working with 1pw anymore and i am getting an "incorrect password" error

I made 2 changes lately:

  • I changed the master pw
  • I changed the sync method from dropbox to iCloud

any idea of what could be happening?

    Try using the old password on the machines that are giving you an error.

    The way password changes work with sync is that one has to use the old password once on the device you are syncing to (so that it can sync and become aware of the new password). After that you can use either password until the first time you use the new one. Once you have used the new password the old one won't work.

    @mikPass: Indeed, 1Password will need to unlock before it can sync any changes. And also make sure you're up to date to take advantage of improvements we've made to that process. Please let us know how it turns out! :)
