Hello,

I have recently build a new PC and have migrated my passwords from 1Password 4.0 on Mac to the new Family plan vault for 1Password Beta in Windows 10. I am able to access all my passwords through the app on Windows 10, but the browser extension does not work. When I click on the extension icon in Chrome a tab opens with the "Looking for 1Password Helper" message. Any help would be appreciated!

1Password Version: Beta 2016.6.403u.
Extension Version: 4.5.7.2
OS Version: Windows 10
Sync Type: Not Provided

I'm encountering the same problem. Same version of 1password, same version of extension, also Windows 10

  • Hi guys, please try desktop version of the app (see details here https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/64591/help-us-welcome-1password-6-to-our-windows-family) which has integration with browser working already. Universal app (the one that comes from the Store and has version ending with u) integration is coming later.

You can run both apps side by side, they look and feel alike, but based on different technologies and works completely separately.

To try desktop app simply click this link in Internet Explorer or Edge browser.

Had the same problem. Actually, it works with this app, but...

We've added limited filing support as of the 2016.5.2302d update and will be adding more features over time.

Wondering if you are interested in sites where the extension doesn't work, or if this integration is just too alpha for such feedback.

  • @sebastian_bauer we are interested for sure, even if it's something that we know already! Please drop a line at support+windowsmodern@agilebits.com

@SergeyTheAgile Thank you, using the desktop app seemed to fix the issue. However, when I click the icon for the Chrome extension, it autofills in my login information without bringing up any sort of menu. Previously, a menu would open up and allow access to the password generator. Is this functionality elsewhere in the app now? I've always used that to make secure passwords.

  • @msaladino currently if there is only one choice, it fills login. When there are more than 1 choices or no choices at all - a menu is shown. Password generator is not yet there, but it's being worked on :) Thanks for bringing this up!
