Or maybe it does if you connect an external keyboard to your phone, don't have one available to test at the moment though. But regardless this is probably not the correct wording to be used on mobile devices if the setting is even applicable at all.

  • Universal app works the same on desktop, tablet, phones, HoloLens and whatever device type is available. These keys do work on the phone, but you are right, you need to go Continuum or connect Bluetooth keyboard first. We will revisit wording, as not everyone plays with Continuum all the time.

Continuum is awesome and useless at the same time. I have the dock (got it free with the phone), I tried it once and went "oh, that's cool" and then never used it again.

  • I have similar mixed feelings, the idea is great, but we are yet to see adoption

I tried it on the desktop, and Win-Shift-L doesn't lock 1P at all, in fact, it does nothing. :/

  • Hi @redoz,

Is the app focused when you're using the shortcut? This isn't a global shortcut, so you have to do it within the app.

@MikeT Yes it is, tried focusing various parts of the app, does nothing (except type L if I give focus to the search box)

  • Hi @redoz,

Can you confirm what Windows and 1Password versions you're using? To find the 1Password version, unlock the app and click on Settings, it'll be on the bottom of the menu.

Confirming @redoz findings, "Windows+Shift+L" has no effect on the desktop client (808d), but does function as advertised on the UWP version (403u).

However, on the UWP version, Windows Hello pops up immediately upon lock asking "Making sure it's you" and putting in your PIN / or detecting your face sitting in front of the system immediately unlocks 1P again. Kind of funny actually, the constant loop. You can't get rid of the Hello security dialog even clicking cancel.

  • Hi @jhamer,

We are aware of the desktop app not locking with the shortcut, that hasn't been implemented yet but the UWP version should be. That's why I wanted to double-check the version redoz is using since he was using the UWP app on his mobile phone.

Kind of funny actually, the constant loop. Yes, you can click cancel on the Hello dialog if you're fast enough or move out of the way of your camera.

 I'm just imaging people doing that and falling off their chairs. The Face recognition in Hello is really good.

Ah, I forgot there was such thing as a Windows Phone. ;) I'll actually read the entire post next time!

So did most of the world...

On my desktop (where Win-Shift-L does nothing) I'm running 1Password 2016.6.510d

Restarted 1P and got updated to 1Password 2016.6.808d, but it still doesn't work.

    Hi @redoz,

In that case, that hasn't been implemented for the desktop build. Only the Universal Windows Platform/Store version of 1Password supports that shortcut at the moment.

    This will be fixed soon.

  • Windows+Shift+L is not yet implemented in desktop app
Please restart the app, it should work now :)
