Password mini takes too long to open/authenticate
Every so often, I open 1Password. Instead of the app opening, I get this dialog box which won't go away (buttons are non-responsive).
And this stays up for a good two minutes before failing:
I don't appreciate my computer being disabled for two minutes. This is not a consistent error, but it has happened enough for me to notice it and take note.

Hey @TimWayne,
Sorry to hear this is happening. It sounds like this has been an issue that has been popping up for a few people and the developers have been made aware of the issue.
One thing that has worked for other users is restarting 1Password Mini - From the main 1Password app, go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini.
It also sounds like using the beta versions can help to resolve the issue. If you goto the Preference pane by pressing CMD+, on the Updates tab there is an option for using the betas:
These are the other Forum threads where users have experience something that sounds similar to what you are experiencing:

@TimWayne did you try this?
1Password Mini - From the main 1Password app, go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini.0 -
I did just now. Unfortunately, this error is too sporadic for me to associate it with a particular activity on my part. Lousy bug report, sorry.

@TimWayne regarding the update tab I apologize for not recognizing you are using the Mac App Store version of 1Password. That explains why you cannot see the tab.
Beta versions are only available via the Agile Store version.

Hi @TimWayne,
It sounds like @rogerdodger has been helping get this sorted out! You can't see the Updates tab because you're using the AppStore version of 1Password. If you want to change to the AgileBits store version to see if the recent updates fix this problem you can do so by following this instructions: https://support.1password.com/switch-from-mac-app-store/
Please let us know how this goes for you, and if you keep on seeing the bug after the update! :chuffed:
