When I want to see my Favorites in the FF extension, I move the mouse over the menu entry, but nothing happens. The extension is hanging for about 10 seconds and then the Favorites menu opens. Subsequent tries open the menu right away

    Hi @Manaburner,

How many favorites do you have?

This is unfortunately normal if you have a large database, 1Password has to manually scan all of your items to find the favorites. Once it finds it, it'll be cached temporarily to speed up the subsequent uses. Once you close the 1Password Helper or close all browsers, the cache is removed and it'll take longer to unlock next time.

This will be redesigned for the next 1Password version that we're working on.

    Hi MikeT,

I have 15 favorites, my DB has 1517 entries. Great to hear that you have this already on your roadmap. I can live with that until then

  • Hi @Manaburner,

This may help a little bit; try opening the main 1Password app, go to the Help Menu > Advanced > Tune 1Password for max performance.

    Hi @MikeT ,

    this option is already set.

  • Ah, yea, in that case, there's not much left to do but to keep 1Password Helper running all the time, so you can hold on to that cache longer.

Hopefully, when the next major version of 1Password comes out, you'll like what we've done.

I'm pretty confident, I will like it :-)

That's very kind of you to say that.

If you want, you can give 1Password 6 Beta a try. The current 1Password 6 Beta only support read-only for the local vault files but it has a brand new 1Password mini which will be going through a lot of iterations for the next few months.
