After importing the vaults from dropbox and 1password cloud into 1password 6 beta (preparing to migrate from standalone version to subscription), I noticed something weird:

Using standalone Windows version: 4.6.0.604, I can look at my logins and I have a field called "URL" that corresponds to the website address
Using 1password 6 beta, I don't see this copied into my "website" field.

Note:

1Password Version: 6

OS Version: windows OS 10
Sync Type: Dropbox
Referrer: kb:undefined, kb-search:URL

How do you delete tags from either the cloud account or from the windows beta 6 app? I have this tag called "imported " that got automatically created when I exported-imported items to windows beta 6 app.

@Ramanathan.k: Edit the item, select the tag, Backspace, and then save. I hope this helps! :)

  • Hi @Ramanathan.k,

I am going to take a guess that Brenty might have thought you meant something else because this only works if you have one item with the tag.

Right now, 1Password 6 Beta does not let you edit tags directly, so you can't delete a tag to remove it completely from all items. This is something we will work on in a future update, to implement full editing support for tags, so you can rename and delete tags directly from the sidebar.

Even thought we do not have full tag editing support, we still want to be on the safe side to make sure you know which items were imported and when. This is consistent with how 1Password does this on macOS as well. As soon as the support is implemented, you'll then right-click on the tag to delete it to remove it from all imported items.

  • Hi @Ramanathan.k,

One more thing, I've moved this thread to our Windows Beta forum since this is related to our beta app.
