1Password Mini Feature Questions

I just updated to 6.0.184d. A lot of stuff in this build. I like the direction of 1Password Mini and had some questions.

1) Will there be an option to always keep 1Password Mini running similar to what is in 1Password 4? It currently closes if I close the main application.
2) Currently, there are no options, or at least I don't see any, for filling in Identity or Credit Card info. Is this coming in the future?

1Password Version: 6.0.184d
Extension Version: 4.5.9b1
OS Version: Windows 10, Android Marshmallow
Sync Type: Families

    Hi @ryanji,
I am not a Agilebits team member but I am sure the answer to both of your questions is yes.

@ntimo, @ryanj: Indeed, while I can't say for certain when they will be added, we're working on it. Thanks for your patience and support! :)

On this topic, is there a need to have the helper or extensions installed for 1Password mini to function? In my mileage, it opens and I can search for a login - but then I can do nothing with that login but stare at it. No passwords or usernames are displayed. If I right click on it, I have the "Copy", "Move to Trash" and "Select All" options. How would I view the username or password with this feature? Keeping in mind, I am comparing this to the functionality of 1Password Mini on Mac. While I realize they will not be replicas of one another, I imagine the functionality would be similar.

  • @cwanja you are totally right, we aim to make functionality close to one another. 1Password mini on Windows just started it's way, quick preview and more function is to come with future updates.

    Hi @cwanja,

Our endgoal is for 1Password 6 to be consistent with all 1Password apps, so that when you switch between platforms, you won't experience anything different (as much as we can do this).

As Serg said, 1Password mini right now in 184d is just the first draft. It'll be iterated with many updates to come soon, we want to add the ability to view your data, support auto-save, fill with credit card/identity items, see the rest of the categories like you can in 1Password mini on macOS and so many more.
