Decided to unistall Windows Beta - now get "Looking for the 1Password Helper" in chrome
I had the windows beta version, as a test to see how it was and if I wanted to go down that route with the 1Password product family. I decided against it and uninstalled the software using windows add/remove program. I want to use the 1Password windows desktop version, a software program I've currently had installed on my computer on a trial basis for the past month or so (prior to the beta installation).
How can I get my chrome extension to recognize my destop 1Password software again?
Also, will the desktop vesion of 1password that I am about to spend $60 on be supported in the future, even though this beta windows subscription based alternative is currently being developed?
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi @atgoett,
Open 1Password 4 for Windows and go to the Help Menu > Restart 1Password Helper, it should then work in your browser once you restart the browser.

1Password 4 for Windows will continue to be supported but it won't be getting any more new features as we're focusing on the next version of 1Password for Windows right now.
1Password 6 Beta isn't a subscription based alternative, 1Password 6 Beta is the eventual replacement for 1Password 4 but it won't happen for a while as it doesn't have everything implemented. Once we add full support for local vault files in 1Password 6 Beta and finish our work on the new 1Password mini, this will replace 1Password 4 for Windows.
