Browser extension issues

Hello, using 1Password 6 for a while on mac, and no issues.
But now I've got windows 10 installed via Bootcamp and impossible to use 1Password extension in Chrome or Fireforx:"looking for the 1Password helper
The 1Password helper must be running for the extension to work properly"I've got Bitdefender Total Security 2016 running on this PC
I followed instructions on this forum, but when I look for the help in 1Password 6, no help menu visible to relaunch the helper.
I've got the feeling this was valid for 1Password 4.Can anybody help me?
Thank you

@Jan_B: Ah yes, 1Password 6 is different. I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your post to the Windows beta category of the forums since that's where you're having trouble.
1Password 6 does not have a Helper, so just restarting the app itself and unlocking it is all you need to do to allow the browser extensions to connect — under normal circumstances. However, if your antivirus software is blocking the connection between the two, you may need to configure it to allow an exception for 1Password 6, which has a different path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\1Password 6\AgileBits.OnePassword.Desktop.exe
At this point, the best thing to do will be to restart your PC, reproduce the same issue, and then generate diagnostic information and send it to support+forums@agilebits.com so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening:
- Open Windows File Explorer
- Paste the following path into the address bar:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password\Diagnostics\
- Attach the
current.txt
to a new email to support+windowsbeta@agilebits.com
Just be sure to include a link to this forum thread and your username in the email so we can 'connect the dots'. You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can quickly track it down. Once we see it we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance! :)

Hello Brenty,
Thank you for your reply.
What I did is that I deinstalled the 1Password app on windows 10 and I went back to the download page.
I downloaded and installed 1Password again, and nowI've got the 1Password 4.6.0.604.
This one is completely different than the one before.
Now I can start the helper and the extensions work! But now another issue has raised, the license key : I've got a license file, but 1Password 4 asks for a license key.
May I use 1Password 4 with a license for 1Password 6.
And if so, how?Thank you for your assistance

@Jan_B just to confirm, which 1Password 6 for Windows did you try - the one that comes from the Store (universal app) or the one that comes from this link (desktop)?
Due to technical limitations universal app does not have browser integration, but desktop app has.

Hello Sergey,
It was the universal app.0 -
Thanks @Jan_B , that's what i felt when you said extension can't find helper. Universal app has this specific limitation and that is the reason we started to focus on desktop app more. Please give it a try if you like and let us know if it works for you :)

Thank you Sergey, but I've implemented the solution of Brenty and now use the 1Password 4 version.
So for me the issue is solved.
