Currently there is no way to shut down 1password when it is locked. I prefer to shut it down before I go home from work so the next day it will check for the update on start up, but if the application is locked, it is impossible to do it without unlocking it first. It doesn't make much sense, really. Could you guys please make shutting it down possible in any stage?

  • Hi @ilya_br,

I'm not sure I understand the issue just yet. I have a locked app here, I clicked on the close button on top right and it works.

Can you clarify more on how you're trying to shut it down?

Do you mean from the notification area?

Yes, Mike, I am sorry, I had to be more specific. It is from the notification area, when the app is hidden. While it is locked, no matter what you do, you can't bring the window of the main application up without unlocking it, and, therefore, can't close the app.

    Hi @ilya_br,

Ah yes, we do plan to address that. We want to add a contextual menu, so when you right-click on it, you can select the option to shut down, unlock, open the main app, and/or any other options that might help.

That would be great, thank you very much.
