Does Autofill feature not work on Windows computers? It won't allow me to check the box to enable.

I can't check the box next to "Automatically submit logins after filling" on 1password 6. Is this feature not supported?

  • Hi @zukes,

It's not yet implemented, that's why it is grayed out. We are planning to implement it soon but I don't have a timeframe on this.

Not sure why you'd have such an incredibly feature-poor beta. No auto submit? I can't save a new login to a vault? Why even bother having a beta?

    Dear @zukes,

I can totally understand your frustration, I know how bitter it can be, when software doesn't work the way you expect it to work. As I've already told markwoon here, with this beta and the upcoming 1.0, we want to set a good foundation for the next updates and the features you know from 1Password 4. Also, we just don't want to keep our customers in the dark about the future, as it is important for us to hear your feedback. We will re-create that smooth 1Password experience you know from version 4 gradually, because we think this is better than working on 1Password 6 internally for several years. I hope for your understanding. :)

Thanks Greg. But unfortunately for me, I can't get 1Password 4 to work either. Have an open support case that hasn't gotten any response yet. I guess I'm just S.O.L at the moment. >:|

  • Hi @zukes,

That sounds like you may have an anti-malware and/or security solution interfering with 1Password's communications between the extension and the 1Password Helper/mini. Can you tell me what solution you have installed on your PC?

I don't see any emails from you but I've only checked against your forum's email address. Can you tell me the support ID you got back from our BitBot's auto-reply.

    MikeT, VAI-79635-883. Thanks

  • Hi @zukes,

Thanks, I've found it and replied to you. I think it is your AV that's causing this issue.

@MikeT That didn't fix my problem.

@zukes: Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately anything that interferes with 1Password communicating with the browser extension will prevent it from working correctly. Since you didn't reply to Mike's email, can you be more specific about what you're seeing exactly when you try to use 1Password? That may give us something more to work with so we can get this sorted out for you. Thanks in advance!

@brenty I replied to Mike's email. When I open 1password 4, I click "Enter license key" and paste in my key. When I submit it, it says "Invalid license key."

I've replied to your email, you entered something else that is not a license key. I've explained more in the email.

@miket thanks for the reply. I replied in kind.

I have also requested 1password send a new license key. That was several hours ago, and I have still not received the email. Not in my spam filter or inbox.

  • Hi @zukes,

We will reply as soon as we can, generally within 24 hours. We have a lot of emails in our support queue and are replying to oldest first.
