1P 6 on Mac, 1P 4 on Win 10. I've tried every export format available on my Mac, but 1P 4 on Win can't deal with any of them. Is there no way to simply copy a file (or directory) over from Mac to Win? Seems so simple.
I don't want to use wifi or Dropbox or 1P online or any of that stuff. I just want to move a file from 1 machine to another. Can anyone help?

  • Hi @sf20nrt,

First, please make sure you don't leave your export files lying around, they should be promptly deleted as they're not encrypted or protected.

1Password 6 for Mac uses an internal database file, so to get a file to use in 1Password 4 for Windows, you need to enable Folder Sync in the Mac app. Here's the guide on how to do this, put it in a folder on your USB drive and then on your PC, copy the same folder to your Documents > 1Password directory.

After that, configure 1Password to open that folder if it doesn't already automatically do it for you.
