Sync not occurring predictably in Win beta
Over the weekend I didn't use my Surface Pro but I did use my Mac with the latest 1Password beta for Mac (and a bit of iPhone with 1Password beta for iOS) to update a lot of items and save a new login (the new login was from iOS but sync'd to my Mac fine). This morning I opened my Surface and unlocked 1Password 6 Beta for Win and went to fill in the site with my new login, and it wouldn't fill, and nothing showed up in Mini. I opened the full app and the new entry was nowhere to be found (searching the main list, or in Favorites where I'd added it). I killed the Beta app (a way to exit it cleanly would be nice :-) and reopened it, logged in, and the new entry appeared.
So there appears to be some delays or inconsistency triggering refreshes, not sure how often it's supposed to refresh but I would assume immediately upon unlocking after a weekend it would sync.
I also ran into a situation where I edited a (different) entry on Mac and iOS over the weekend (editing entry on Mac but then used iOS to add TOTP with camera) and the iOS version never got the new password I'd set on Mac until I re-edited the Mac version of the item and let it sync to iOS. I mention this not because I've been able to replicate and report it on those platforms (if it keeps happening I will) but just as another example of some sync inconsistencies across platforms.
I don't see any way to go to Settings and force an immediate sync for 1Password hosted services like can be done with Dropbox (on any platform), and until now it seemed to be smart enough that wasn't necessary, but maybe it is if the alternative is killing the app and restarting it when a manual sync is needed :-)
1Password Version: 6.0.186d
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Windows 10 Pro x64
Sync Type: 1Password Families

Also, I went to Settings->Email to see what diagnostics might pop up and it does open a folder with current.txt, but the log notes that the first thing it did was to delete the previous log when I reopened the app, so apparently I can't send any useful diagnostics from earlier when it didn't sync :-)

@dszp sorry for the trouble, the sync itself actually works on Windows, but the refresh from local database to screen has had issues. Good news is that it's fixed in the upcoming update :)
As for iOS/Mac versions - I'll make sure to mention it to the devs who knows this subject better than me.

While it's not required that much and may not help in your specific case, I thought I should mention that typing
/sync
in search box and hitting ENTER will trigger sync.0 -
@SergeyTheAgile Got it, my favorite bugs are the ones that are addressed in an upcoming update already (ok, my favorite bugs are ones that there's already an update out to fix, but since I'm nearly always up to date those are rare ;-)
Handy to know about
/sync
, thanks! Does that refresh the local DB/screen or just the server side? (Guessing just server based on your comment.)0 -
/sync
refreshes database, it should refresh screen, but it doesn't due to that favorite bug :)0
