Changed my password on 1Password.com and it still remains the same in 1Password 6 Beta
HI. My steps. I have installed beta 1password 6 on windows 7. Add my team Account. I have changed the password via the web version. And i have no chance to login on desktop app. I have removed desktop app and installed it again. I see login input, not 'add new account'.I have successfully logged in with my old password. I put my old password and can see all logins and passwords, have been added before i changed my password. For me, this means that if my team account is deleted from the server, I can always login with my password on the local machine, and will have access to the latest version of the all passwords?

Hi @vgalkin,
That's normal for the moment and not a security issue. You cannot sync or push changes anymore once you change your password or delete your account on the server side, the server will prevent it as well since the encrypted data is no longer valid with the old password.
Right now, the 1Password 6 Beta does not support remote password changes, it uses a local encryption key that's based on the first password you entered into the app. So, if you sign into your 1Password.com account first, that account password will encrypt the local key but it is not linked. So, if you change the password on the server, the app won't see it, you'd have to sign out and sign back in with the new password and then locally change the app's password via Settings > Options > Security.
In addition, like other 1Password apps, uninstalling or reinstalling the app does not touch your 1Password data, it is always stored separately from the program files. If you'd like to reset the database, you can do so by renaming or deleting the
20160514.sqlite
file via%LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password
.In future updates, we will add support for the app requiring an active connection to the server if it detects you haven't connected in a few days before it lets you unlock the specific account data.
