Copying in the "All Vaults" view only shows the not recently selected vault as target

I know this topic sounds strange and I hope I can explain what is happening.
I have setup two 1Password.com personal vaults (Personal and Fort Know). I have selected "All Vaults" and see items of both vaults.
I then switch to the Personal vault. When I switch back to the "All Vaults" view and want to copy an item, I can only copy it to the "Fort Know" vault. It does not matter if the item is already in "Fort Know" or not. 1P only offers Fort Know as copy target.
Same goes if I switch to the "Fort Know" vault and back to "All Vaults". This time, only the "Personal" vault is offered as copy destination.
Can anybody reproduce this?

I am no 1Password team member here, but the behavior sounds normal if I am understanding your issue correctly. You are trying to copy an item out of the Personal vault to the Fort Known vault. And so when you go back to "All Vaults" and select something, you are selecting something in the Personal vault. Thus, it can only copy it to the only other vault connected - Fort Know. And it cannot copy itself to your Personal vault, so it does not even list the option.

I have a similar setup with four vaults and when I view the "All Vaults" and try to copy something out of my Personal vault, I only see three vaults listed - everything except my Personal vault.

No, my problem is that only one copy destination is offered in the "All Vaults" view for any item, no matter if the item is in "Personal" or "Fort Know". And the one vault that is offered, is always the one that was not recently selected.
The behaviour that you describe in your last sentence, is what I would have expected, but it does not work that way here.

  • Hi @Manaburner,

Thanks for reporting this, I can reproduce this issue. It looks like it is caching the previous copy list as if it thinks it is in the previous vault and not in All Vaults.

    We'll get this fixed.

    Hi @MikeT
that's great news. Let me know if I should test anything more.

    Hi @Manaburner,

You don't have to test this specific issue further, we'll do that while we look at the code and figure out why it is caching it. After the fix, we'll see if there's anything like it.

However, if you have some free time, any further testing you can do will help us. The more eyes we have, the more confident we'll be that there is nothing else like that.
