Suggestions for Windows 10 Mobile
I plan to switch from Android to Windows 10 Mobile (maybe the Lumia 950 XL or the Surface Phone that will be released 1Q 2017).
At the moment I still have Android, so I don't know the Windows 10 Mobile version of 1Password.
For the Android version I suggested in the forums:
- Watchtower warning for Android (https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/68078/suggestion-watchtower-warning-for-android)
- 1Password as Default Web-Browser (https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/67801/suggestion-1password-as-default-web-browser)
It would be cool to have these features for Windows 10 Mobile too.
Makes 1Password more powerful!

Hi @OLLI_S,
1Password 6 Beta in the Windows 10 Store is a Universal Windows Platform app, meaning the same app will run on both Windows 10 Desktops, Mobile, HoloLens, Xbox, and other Windows 10 devices. If you want to see what it is like, download the app from the Windows Store.
1Password 6 Beta already has a limited 1Browser and we may improve it with more features depending on how flexible Edge is on Windows 10 Mobile.
Watchtower is in the plans for all 1Password apps, it won't be left out as it is an important feature for us.

I know about the Universal Windows Platform apps and that the same app will run on different hardware.
In the Windows 10 store I saw that 1Password runs in the PC, on the phone and even on the Hololens (and on all other devices).I will get a Windows 10 phone (hopefully soon) so for me these features are very important.
And it is also important that they are also available on the phone.0 -
Cool! Thanks for letting us know! :)

**1Password 6 Beta in the Windows 10 Store **
Not on the Windows Phone Store. The only app on the Phone store is spelled with an i (iPassword) and it appears to be a fraud setup to steal information.

@TwoMetreBill: Sorry for the confusion there! In the intervening months since this discussion, we've hidden the beta in the Windows Store. If you've already "purchased" 1Password there though, you can download it again by clicking on your profile and going to My Library. Otherwise you may be able to go to it using this link. Cheers! :)

Many thanks, this works fine.

@kerberos976: Sorry for the confusion! This is a rather old discussion, and the link I posted here last year won't work in most cases. But if you've previously downloaded 1Password from the Windows Store you can download it from "My Library" under your account. And we're working on an updated version that will be available to everyone as well. Cheers! :)

I can confirm that, after I did a hard reset of my Lumia 950XL on Windows 10, I was able to download the app from 'My Library'. Does what I need it to do but could obviously use improvement e.g. Windows Hello is a little flaky ;-) (It scans your IRIS, recognises you, then gives you about a millisecond to tap the 'OK' button before it tries to scan you again. The second time always fails and asks for PIN. Maybe that's a Windows Hello 'issue' rather than 1Password...)

Hi @architect1337,
The next UWP update will be a huge jump from the current stable build, a lot of improvements.
However, we don't have control over how Windows Hello works, that's being handled by Windows on our behalf. Did you notice the same problem in other apps using Hello?

Now you mention it - yes. Dropbox has a similar issue so I suspect it's to do with some option in Windows Hello on mobile.

@architect1337: Thanks for confirming. That's been my experience as well. Both the strength and weakness of the Windows platform is that there's so much variation to the hardware and drivers between devices. Windows Hello is promising, but until Microsoft and the vendors are able to work together to iron out the kinks, it can be a bit rocky! It's great to have options though. :)
