I'm also working in an environment where I don't have Admin rights. Hoped to find a portable 1P version. Any progress?

As mentioned previously, we don't currently have plans for a portable version. There are a number of dependencies, especially with recent versions on Windows, which make that problematic, and this simply isn't a priority given that there hasn't been much interest — especially compared to other feature and enhancement requests. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

Suggestions have been offered in the pre Web App days for 1Password Portable. Too bad it isn't possible to make 1Password portable.

Searching through the support site, it appears the request has gone as far back as 2011.

My discussion and another thread from 2014:

1PasswordAnywhere support has been deprecated which means what was previously suggested now won't work.

    Hello @wkleem,

Even though we wanted to make 1Password portable before, it is no longer on our list. This topic has already been thoroughly discussed in this thread and Mike summed it up in this reply in April.

At this point in time we do not have better news for you and I hope for your understanding. Thank you!

    Cheers,
    Greg

@wkleem: To be perfectly clear, we'd love for 1Password to be portable, but there are much more important things we need to focus on. No one would use 1Password if was a portable app but lacked key features and compatibility with popular OSes and browsers. There's always going to be a wish list, but we need to prioritize the things that will do the most good for the greatest number of users, and at least so far portability is nowhere near the top of that list. :(
