Windows 7 under Preferences, "Warnings" are all checked but grayed out?

Running Windows 7 and under Preferences, the "Warnings" button are all checked but grayed out?
Is this a problem or the way it's supposed to be?

    @mwirth: No problem! The "warning" checkboxes are all enabled by default and cannot be disabled until you receive the specific warning. At that point, there's an option to disable it. They can then be re-enabled if you wish in Preferences, but we don't want anyone to unwittingly disabled them without even seeing the warnings in context. I hope this helps!
