How do I get the 1Password Mini to work?

I can't get my Chrome 1Password Extension to work. When I start typing, nothing fills in even though I have various logins saved. I also can't seem to get the "Helper" to install. Nothing happens when I click that in the main 1Password App options.

1Password Version: 6.0.186d
Extension Version: 6.0.186d
OS Version: Windows 10

  • Hi @aaroni,

Thanks for writing in with your feedback.

Currently, to view the logins for a particular site, you need to be on that site already. Alternatively, you can press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+\ twice to invoke 1Password mini where you can search your entire database, access all of your logins, and open the site by clicking on the login item you were looking for.

We're sorry about the confusion regarding the Register 1Password Helper button. Once you click it, a registry key will be set but there's no visual feedback for the process.

If you click the 1Password browser extension button and 1Password 6 opens, it means that the Helper was registered successfully.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions or more feedback.

    Cheers,

    Alex

When I click the browser extension, a new window opens that says "Either the helper is not running, or something is preventing it from communicating with the 1Password browser extension."

    Thanks for writing back.

Which anti-malware software are you using?

    Cheers
