After installing the Windows 10 anniversary update and subsequent patch my 1Password browser extensions for both Firefox and Chrome no longer work. I am running 1 Password version 4 and have the latest browser versions as well. The 1Password app on Windows 10 works fine.

1Password Version: 4.6.0.604
_Extension Version: Firefox 4.5.9; Chrome 4.5.9.90
_OS Version: Windows 10 version 1607

    See above

  • Hi @KMiller500,

We're sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

Can you please tell us which anti-malware software you're using? We've heard quite a few times now that certain software will revert to a state in which it blocks the communication between the 1Password browser extension and 1Password after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

We'll get to the bottom of this together!

    Cheers,

    Alex

    Sophos Endpoint Security version 10.6

  • Ah, that explains it.

Sophos seems to forget the exclusions already set during the anniversary update. Please follow the steps in our Configuring Sophos guide again, reboot, and it should work normally again.

    Cheers,

    Alex
