New User: Suggestions & Feedback
New user to 1 password (Families). Win10 Pro with 1password 6 beta and Google Chrome 53.0.2785.89
I have been using lastpass for years which is pretty efficient. Some of my feedback may be in line what I am used to with that. Things are looking great so far. Please don't think my feedback is meant to be critical, just some things that I would like to see help 1password grow.
-Give option to keep program running in background after closing the program. For example, you close the program but 1password's icon stays in the notification area. I feel it takes too long to re-launch, log back in while in use. EDIT: I see minimizing the program does this. It took me a day of use to figure this out. Perhaps adding an option and/or pop up when closing asking if user wants to keep it running.
-Pinning 1password to taskbar does not hold. Not sure if intended or a bug with beta. This wouldn't be needed too much if 1password were always running.
-Searching in the browser extension produces no results.
-lt looks like the purpose of the browser extension is for filling in credentials of a webpage. I'd like to see the option of being on a blank webpage and using the extension to search for the site you want to go to. After it comes up in results, it redirects you to that site and logs you in (similar to lastpass).
-When clicking on browser extension in Chrome, the cursor is blinking in the search box of 1password, but when I start typing, the text types on the open program (ie a webpage) where I was previously typing. I have to click on the extension and then again in the search box.
-After today's update I was forced to re-login and use my account key. If I were travelling I would have been locked out as I do not carry my account key anywhere other than an encrypted file at home. Perhaps give bolded warning before updating to make sure you have account key available. Perfect example, I am going out of town 2 weeks tomorrow. If this happened then I would be locked out for the duration of my trip.
EDIT: After using 1password more I am understanding how it works better. Perhaps being used to lastpass has skewed how I use 1pass, but wanted to pass along.
Looking good team.

Hey @Mogg, glad to have you aboard and thanks so much for the feedback :)

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by hold? If it's a bug, then I'm sure we can look into a fix for it, but it's a feature, maybe we could replace this with something more appropriate.
-Searching in the browser extension produces no results.
The 1Password mini (the mini version of 1Password launched by the extension) is configured to show logins on the current domain. It will not show you all the items in your vault unless you launch the mini with the browser in the background. Once you find the login you want to fill, you can click it and you'll be navigated right to it.

This is possible if you launch 1Password mini with the browser in the background. Just use the keyboard shortcut to launch the mini (ctrl + alt + ) and you'll be able to search through all the contents of your vault.

This is a known bug, and we'll have a fix for it in a future build.

That was a one-time update that we had to make before releasing the stable application. Don't worry, we won't make a habit of it :).
Let me know if you've got any other questions!
