I am in the process of moving from 1PW5 to 1PW6 family for some time and I uses 1PW Desktop Datas and Cloud data in parallel.
now, my Win10 PC just update my 1PW to V6.0.197d
The result is terrible!
1PW did not find the correct datas on my HD and opends with no datas at all.
Also the Menue, now caled "Option", is competly diferent and may old possibilitys are missing
I did not find the option to use the datas form previus backup version stored on my PC.
I did conected to my Family Cloud in the mean time, but I was very afraid, it could ruie it to...
Waht I still miss now, are my old 1PWDatas stored on my HD.

I do not like this kind of game with my datas!!!

I can only recomand to all 1 PW6 Desktop user to wait befor updating to 1Password 6.0.197d and to be well prepared and have plenty of time...

  • Hey @Chris90,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We're sorry about the frustration the beta update is causing you.

Let me tell you right up front that the data that was previously stored in 1Password 6 before you updated to version 6.0.197d has not been deleted. It is still present and can be accessed if you downgrade to an earlier version of the 1Password 6 beta.

We had to change the database in the new version, ahead of the first public stable release and it requires beta users to sign into their 1Password account again and add any local vault they've used in 1Password 6 once again (local vaults are stored on your hard drive and have the file extension .agilekeychain or .opvault).

Can you please tell us more about the data that you had in 1Password 6 prior to installing the latest beta? The safety and integrity of your data is our highest priority and we will help you get everything in order again.

If you wish, you can reply in German, as well.

    Cheers,

    Alex (from Trier)
