How can I import old agilekeychain file to 1password 6 windows beta?
Hello.
I have a old agilekeychain backup file from 1password anywhere and now I am trying to use a new version of 1password but I cannot import the old agilekeychain file. I read the article on this site(How to switch to the OPVault format from agile keychain) with no use..
Please let me know if this can be solved.

@yy13: Thanks for reaching out! While 1Password 6 cannot read backups from other versions of the app, you should be able to restore from the backup using the appropriate version of the app (where the backup was made) and then 1Password 6 can read the OPVault or AgileKeychain vault.
I am a bit confused by the reference to 1PasswordAnywhere though, since that doesn't make backups; it's just an HTML fronted to an AgileKeychain vault. Do you perhaps have the AgileKeychain vault itself (which 1Password.html would be part of) already? It sound like you may, but it isn't clear from your description. Have you tried this already. but are receiving some sort of error? Please let me know! :)

Thank you for your comment.
Does it mean that I need to reinstall the older version of 1password to retore from the backup file? If so, where can I get the older version of 1password?
I am not sure what I got now is either a vault or a backup. The file is named "1Password 2016-08-28 174919 (21 items).agilekeychain_zip".
I somehow managed to rename the filename and extract the contents following instructions of another discussion, but when I clicked the HTML file in it, an error message came out(Problem loading 1password data file - a key data file could not be loaded ...... etc).0 -
@yy13: Ohhh, perfect! It sounds like you've got exactly what you need, you're just getting stuck because you're trying to load 1PasswordAnywhere (which is rather old and won't work under most circumstances these days). Instead of double-clicking that, open 1Password 6 and choose the Folder option if you're setting it up for the first time, or if you've already logged into your 1Password Account in the app, press
Ctrl Shift O
. Then select the .agilekeychain you extracted from the backup to load the vault. Let me know how it turns out! :)0 -
Thank you very much. It worked ! I was a bit confused because I couldn't select the file you mentioned directly, but when I chose the folder it worked perfectly. Thanks again :)
