Question about 1Password 6 for Windows designation
I've downloaded 1Password 6 for Windows. So far so good, but it has a unfinished feel to it like it is a beta product. Usually with beta vs stable, clicking a checkbox will show the beta versions but this isn't the case with 1Password 6 for Windows.

Can someone please explain the differentiation in 1Password 6 for Windows as there currently is no "beta" version but it feels like a beta.
There was at one point a 1Password for Windows Modern Alpha/Beta Froum but that has been gone some time ago.

Hi @wkleem,
Short answer is that there is no stable version of 1Password 6 yet and I know, our messaging and docs on this is not so good.
- This is the same Windows Modern Alpha/Beta forum but renamed to Windows Beta when we consolidated our development into one product as both (desktop/Windows Store) versions of 1Password 6 is reusing the same codebase. When we shipped the first public beta, we've phased out the Modern Alpha branding to use 1Password 6 Beta instead.
- There are weird technical issues when trying to do versioning across our tools. In this instance with the changelog server, it doesn't work well when there's no stable version listed first, so we decided to show beta changelog for now. Once the first stable update is available, the rest of the existing changelogs becomes hidden by default as Beta updates. In certain App Stores, they won't allow us to change product names, so we've shipped new apps as 1Password instead of 1Password 6 or 1Password Beta. If we ship 1Password 6, trying to change to 7 later may not be possible.
- We're moving toward simplifying our branding and not include the versioning in the product name. So, once we ship 1Password 6 Beta, we're just going to call it 1Password for Windows, not 1Password 6 for Windows.
We're getting close to our first stable update and so, some of our newest content starts to show 1Password 6 without the Beta labeling. I wish we can just flip a switch and remove Beta from everywhere but it doesn't work like that. We're making small changes in various places but it won't all fit until the last moment.
