@Peter42: Indeed, the new beta app has only read-only support for OPVault and AgileKeychain vaults. It isn't possible to make any changes there, only to vaults which are part of 1Password Accounts. We'll be adding full support for local vaults in the future, but not in the short term. It would be best to use 1Password 4, since it's already a mature app which supports your local vaults completely.

Ok thanks - I now understand. I assume I can just uninstall the beta and replace with 1Password 4

Is there any way they can co-exist during this beta phase - happy to help as V6 is so much better and more like my Mac - however, we have to use Windows are work as well so I need both apps.

Overall a great product and when V6 for Windows is working it will be excellent.

@Peter42: You can absolutely use both, but it is a bit of work. Just keep in mind that while you can access your local vault in 1Password 6, you will only be able to edit it in 1Password 4. But you can use either to fill in the browser. If 1Password 4 is running, it will take precedence in the browser, so make sure you kill it (and its background process, Agile1PAgent.exe) if you'd like to use 1Password 6 in the browser instead. We have a single browser extension which can connect to either, so no need to make any changes there. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Thanks - most helpful - if I get time I'll set both so that it can be developed as V6 is so much better it will be great when it's finally out of beta.

    Regards - Peter

  • On behalf of Brenty, you're welcome.

We're working as fast as we can to get 1Password 6 completed in a way that it can replace the 1Password 4 as well. It will get simpler over time.
