1Password window pops-up on Windows startup, when set to automatically sign-in

Hi, I have the options "start 1Password automatically when I sign in to Windows" and "Minimize to notification area" both ticked in 1Password's options (I'm using 1Password 6 Beta 225d).

I've noticed that when 1Password 6 for Windows is set to start at Windows login, the 1Password window will show briefly on the desktop at start-up for 1-2 seconds (about the same time the pinned taskbar icon becomes active for the same period) before minimizing to the system tray.

It's only a minor issue, but I've noticed it on a Windows virtual machine I'm using as well, and is slightly distracting on Windows login.

I hope this is something that can be fixed in a future update.

Thanks, Paul

  • @pbryanw agreed, it's a minor annoyance, and it is an annoyance. I'll make sure we reduce unnecessary main window activations. Thank you for the reminder! ;)
