List of frustration
Switching across to 1password vaults was probably the worst idea ever for me, as a primary windows user. I have started to consider alternative products due to the number of issues I have with the windows beta. Yet I still persevere. Finally have the time to post my feedback here; hope it is helpful. This is a list of issues currently which make me contemplate taking my life (in a joking sense.. don't call the cops):
- "Lock after computer is idle" doesn't consider activity. It will lock if I haven't used 1password, regardless of whether I have been active and moving the mouse and keyboard the whole time. This is different to the former version.
- "automatically submit logins after filling" doesn't work. Stable chrome, latest beta 1p extension.
- Launching 1password mini when it is in a locked state from chrome (using the button or shortcut) and then typing my password correctly will not give local results to the current site. It will show all logins until i close once and open again.
- 1password mini doesn't always take focus correctly. I've typed half my master password visible on screen while streaming and while people are watching over my shoulder due to this. Very scary; have learnt to make sure focus is correct before typing, which adds inefficiency.
- Due to a failed import, I have duplicate website fields on a lot of my entries. No way to delete these without using the website or my iphone (https://puu.sh/rhu2Q/20972157e1.png).
- Trying to search in 1p mini while at a site with no matching entries searches on the 0 entries. there's no way to expand my search to my full vault.
- There's no way to copy password/username to clipboard from mini in the case it doesn't auto-fill.
These are the main issues. A lot of other bugs that come up occasionally, but the above are imperative to make vaults usable on windows. Until then you should probably put a huge disclaimer before people signup to vaults that they are currently in a very alpha state on windows.
Love from a long-time user on all platforms (OS X / iOS / windows).

@ppy: First of all, thank you for your support! I know this is a difficult transition as we build the new Windows app, and your feedback on the beta is a huge driving force behind our work every day to improve it.

Absolutely. This is something we're working to improve. It does work as you expect for some, but I too have experienced the inconsistent behaviour you describe. You didn't mention the version number you're using though, and I've noticed a big improvement in auto lock in recent updates. Let me know!

Indeed. 1Password mini doesn't get any data when it's first unlocked since it can't yet connect to the main app. We're working to improve the synchronization there. If you open mini a second time it should show appropriate logins (and upon subsequent unlocks). I hope that helps!

You're right. That's not only bad for efficiency, but a terrifying experience. I'm really sorry that you've been affected by this. We've made some changes already to help, and we're looking at other options to make focus more consistent even with a variety of system configurations. This isn't something we want to happen to anyone. We made some big improvements here recently as well, so be sure you're using the latest version and let me know if it's helped you!

I'm only seeing a single (IP address) URL in the screenshot. It may not matter, as I think your description is clear though. We'll be adding support
Trying to search in 1p mini while at a site with no matching entries searches on the 0 entries. there's no way to expand my search to my full vault.
Sorry for the confusion! If you press
Ctrl Alt \
a second time, it will show all of your logins. There's no way to copy password/username to clipboard from mini in the case it doesn't auto-fill.
Also, you can right-click to copy a username or password from a login item. We'll be adding additional options as well!

Love from a long-time user on all platforms (OS X / iOS / windows).I'm really sorry for the frustration this has caused you. Perhaps one or two of these are a slight nuisance, but I can see how the paper cuts add up. We're building something big here though, and we'll continue to polish the edges to make the new 1Password app aerodynamic so we can give you and the rest of our awesome Windows users a smooth flight in the future. You are the wind beneath our cryptographically sound wings! :innocent:

Hey there! Further to what @brenty posted:
"automatically submit logins after filling" doesn't work. Stable chrome, latest beta 1p extension.
We are aware of this anomaly and we are looking into what may be causing the disparity between Chrome and other browsers since the Auto-Submit feature works perfectly with the latter. Are you experiencing this behaviour across all websites or only some?

Hi guys,
The autosubmit is a known issue in Chrome, there's an extra function we need to add for Chrome to support autosubmit correctly, which we will do in an update soon.
