New computer, how to catch the Dropbox data?

Options

I use 1Password on a Windows computer, with all files being synced with Dropbox. And I use 1Password iOS, with the same synchronization.

Unfortunately my HD burned and had to reinstall Windows from scratch. How do I restore the backup in this new HD only with format files 1Password?

1Password Version: 4.6.0.604
Extension Version: 4.5.9.90
OS Version: Windows 10 Pro
Sync Type: Dropbox

@Julibazzi: First of all, I'm sorry that you've experienced such a disaster! If there was actual fire involved, that definitely tops even my worst experiences! :scream:

I'm relieved to hear that you have a backup though. I haven't always been that smart myself, so I learned my lesson the hard way.

And while that will be crucial for getting the rest of your data restored, since you were syncing 1Password with Dropbox, that should actually be the easiest part of your disaster recovery. Just install Dropbox, let it finish syncing your data, and then install 1Password. When you launch it, you can select your vault in Dropbox and you'll be good to go. Let me know how it turns out! :)

Thank you very much, it worked.

  • On behalf of Brenty, you're welcome.
