Looking for the 1Password helper
I installed 1Password 6 Beta on my windows 10 PC, and installed the extension on 7star browser which is based on chromium. But it doens't work.
It says 'The 1Password helper must be running for the extension to work properly.'
When it was 1Password 4, I disabled 'Verify browser code signature' to let the extension to work, but I cannot find this option in the beta version.
1Password Version: 6.0.252
Extension Version: Newest
OS Version: Windows10
Sync Type: Not Provided
Referrer: forum-search:The 1Password helper must be running for the extension to work properly.

I tried Firefox 49.0.1 and 1Password detected it. However, the connection attempt was refused.
It said “Firefox by unidentified publisher”. I'm sure I downloaded firefox from mozilla official page.0 -
Hi @zhaidoudou123,
Can you tell us what anti-malware solution you're using on your PC? 1Password 6 Beta does not yet support turning off verify browser code signature checks.
It should be saying Firefox by Mozilla Corporation like this:
The fact that it is saying unidentified publisher means either we're blocked from verifying the browser (likely caused by your anti-malware solution) or you have a bad copy.

@MikeT
Thank you for your reply.
I am using Windows Defender.
When will 1Password 6 Beta support turning off code signature verify?
And I checked the code signature of firefox and it is valid.0 -
Hi @zhaidoudou123,
We don't have an ETA on the option to disable code signature check and we might not add it, we're trying to find a way to isolate it to a specific process rather than disabling it globally.
Can you email us your 1Password logs? It might give us a better idea of what's going on.
- Click on the start button to search for Event Viewer, open it.
- On the left sidebar, expand Applications and Services Logs, 1Password should show up below here
- Right click on 1Password to select Save all events as and save it as 'logs.txt', set Save as Type to Text (tab delimited) (*.txt)
- Email that file to us at support+windowsbeta@agilebits.com and in the email, also include the link to this thread along with your forum username.
Let us know here when you've sent the email, so we can confirm we got it.

Hi @MikeT
I have sent a new mail to you, saying that this issue happens in a clean Chinese-native Windows 10.0 -
Thanks! We can continue the conversation via email to avoid confusing things. Cheers! :)
