Request for Enhancement: fingerprint for Windows 6.0.252d
Please add finger print authorization to open 1Password Windows 6.0.252d. Love that feature on iPhone. Heavily rely on my fingerprint scanner on a Windows laptop and would be great to have that feature in this version as well.
1Password Version: 6.0
Extension Version: 252d
OS Version: Windows 10

Love 1password. Just want it to be even easier to use.

@SkylandCaddyDaddy: While you'll always need the Master Password as well since your data cannot be decrypted without it, we'd definitely like to support Windows Hello in the desktop app. Right now this is available in the Windows Store only (which has some catching up to do), but hopefully we'll be able to expand on that in the future (though it will probably remain Windows 10-only). Thanks for letting us know you'd like this feature! :)

I also vote for Windows 10 support for Hello fingerprint readers. I have a new laptop on order that supports Windows Hello via fingerprint reader. I love the touchID feature on iOS.

Ah, thanks for letting us know! I tend to forget that Windows Hello supports other options besides just facial recognition, so this could be useful to more people besides just those with fancy cameras. Cheers! :)

Yes, I have a new Yoga 910 and it has a Windows Hello fingerprint reader. I'd LOVE 1Password to be Hello integrated. I have a much shorter screensaver timeout on my laptop, so I have to constantly unlock 1Password.

Hi @TravelSD,
Thanks for writing in.
Once we figure out how to add Windows Hello to our desktop version of 1Password 6, it should be able to use any biometric security feature on any computers (including external USB devices) that support Windows Hello as well. Hopefully, it won't take us long.
You can turn off Lock when switching session in the 1Password's security settings if you don't want 1Password to lock with your screensaver and it can lock on the idle activity timer instead.
