Item titles encryted without internet connection

I often have to use a hotspot connection in hotels. The credentials are stored in 1Password, so when starting the app, there's no internet connection. The problem is that item titles are encrypted so I don't know which item contains those credentials. My keychain currently does not have many items yet, but it could be a pretty annoying task to find the correct item.
Shouldn't it be possible to access all items without problems even when being offline?
This is how 1P looks like when being offline

  • Hi @Manaburner,

    Thanks for reporting this.

All of the data is stored locally and the internet access is not required. I just disconnected my network, restarted 1Password and it still works.

If your encryption key is wrong, it wouldn't let you unlock either. I also noticed the item under G shows the title correctly. That means one of your vaults' key is not working. Can you switch between accounts and/or local vaults to see if it is limited to your Dropbox/OneDrive vaults?

Also, are you saying that while the titles are encrypted, the details of the item is accessible? Did you try switching between vaults to reload the content?

    Hi @MikeT,
it's the same for me. When the internet connection has been established once and titles are showing, it still works, even if I then disconnect my network. But when I reboot, the problem is back.

    I don't have any non-1Password-Accounts in 1P, so I can't try that.

Yes, the details are accessible. I tried to switch between vaults but that did not help.

  • Hi @Manaburner,

Could you email us your 1Password logs when you see this problem:

    1. Click on the start button to search for Event Viewer, open it.
    2. On the left sidebar, expand Applications and Services Logs, 1Password should show up below here
    3. Right click on 1Password to select Save all events as and save it as 'logs.txt', set Save as Type to Text (tab delimited) (*.txt)
    4. Email that file to us at support+windowsbeta@agilebits.com and in the email, also include the link to this thread along with your forum username.

Let us know here when you've sent the email, so we can confirm we got it.
