Duplicate shortcuts in Windows 10 start menu

Hello, for each update to 1password 6 I get a new duplicate shortcut in the Windows 10 start menu.. Is there a way to unclutter my start menu? :)

Currently I have 8x 1Password 6 shortcuts on my start menu, I really only need one.

    Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

This little anomaly should easily be resolved by giving this a try:

    1. Right-click on one of the shortcuts in the Windows Start Menu, and select 'More -> Open File Location'
    2. Delete the 1Password shortcut duplicates in the folder.

I hope that helps. Please keep me posted :)

Hi, theres only one 1Password 6 shortcut in the start menu folder in appdata\roaming and one in ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs I tried deleting the one in appdata same number of duplicates shows up in the start menu. Once I deleted the one in ProgramData all of them where removed.

  • Hi @mistawu,

That's great, we're not sure why it is creating so many duplicates from just one shortcut but we'll keep an eye on this. We've seem similar reports from other programs too.

If you want to recreate the shortcut, you can open Start, search for 1Password and right-click on it to pin it to Start.
