Desktop Apps
Does 1Pwd 6 support logging into desktop (ie non-internet) apps and if so, how is it done?
Many thanks.

Hi there @dchass,
Thank you for using 1Password 6. :+1:
The feature you are talking about is called Auto-type and it is not yet available in the current version of 1Password 6 for Windows. We are hoping to add this feature in the future updates, but it takes time. I hope for your understanding.
Thanks!

Ah, the awesome Greg beat me to it, David!
So, whilst Auto-type is still bubbling away back in the lab until its cooked and ready for service, there is a workaround and its a really easy to use way of logging into apps. The only downside is sometimes, other apps do not support copy / paste, but the rest of the time here's what you can do:- Open 1Password mini or 1Password.
- Search for the item you need.
- Right-click the item.
- Copy the value you need. Like this:
This will allow you copy and paste the login details you need for that app.
Pretty neat huh?Keep us posted, @dchass we're here to help you make the most of your trial and can't wait to hear how you're getting on.

Thank you - yes pretty neat!
Thanks for asking about the trial. It's progressing well. There are, however, a couple of niggles and suggestions I will get back to you about in due course.0
