Saved password inChrome extension on Windows machine also saves on Windows machine but not elsewhere

I just created an account- installed the extension in Chrome on a Windows machine as well as 1Password for Windows 4.6.1.616, and my iOS devices. I saved my first password and it is saved in the extension and the Windows application but it is not showing up when I log into 1Password.com or on either of my iOS devices (iphone running 10.1 and ipad running 10.0.2).

Am I doing something wrong?

@sara_mcbeth: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion! If you're using a 1Password Account, you need to use the new 1Password 6 Windows desktop app. You can find a link to install it on the Get the Apps page in your account:

    https://my.1password.com/apps

1Password 4 only supports local vaults, so any data you save there cannot be sent to 1Password.com and vice versa (and therefore your other devices). But you can migrate your data from your local vault to your 1Password Account:

    https://support.1password.com/migrate-1password-account/

I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

    Thanks brenty! That worked :)

My next issue is that I am trying to set up a log in for a site that has the username and password split across multiple pages. I tried to follow the instructions here: https://support.1password.com/create-multi-page-login/

But I don't have the 'Save New Login' when i click the browser button- I'm attaching an image of my drop down. Help!

  • Hi @sara_mcbeth,

On behalf of Brenty, you're welcome.

At the moment, it is not yet possible to use Save New Login with 1Password 6. What you can do is create a Login item manually in the main 1Password window first. Open the main 1Password program, unlock, click on New Item > Login, enter the username/password along with the website's login URL and save it.

Once you're on the site, try to log in with that Login item on both pages, it should work.
