6.1.286 on Win10 not syncing

Hey,

There's a recurring issue with the Windows client on both of my PCs wherein the client won't sync new or changed items (login or otherwise). I've tried completely restarting the client, but it still doesn't seem to want to refresh. Is there some way to force it to kickoff a sync operation so I can stop having to spend time goading it into refreshing?

EDIT - I forgot to mention that I can sometimes trigger sync by adding a changed item to favorites on my phone.

Thanks!

  • Hi @cvv,

Thanks for writing in. 1Password 6 has a real-time monitor that's connected to our servers to update as soon as there's a change. If the sync is not working, it is usually for a good reason.

Can you email us your 1Password diagnostics report:

    1. Click on the start button to search for Event Viewer, open it.
    2. On the left sidebar, expand Applications and Services Logs, 1Password should show up below here
    3. Right click on 1Password to select Save all events as and save it as 'logs.txt', set Save as Type to Text (tab delimited) (*.txt)
    4. Email that file to us at support+windows@agilebits.com and in the email, also include the link to this thread along with your forum username.

Let us know here when you've sent the email, so we can confirm we got it.

    Hey,

Just sent the output from Event Viewer. Thanks for using it, lots of companies don't for whatever reason. Having stuff logged by Windows is preferable to requiring people to run a support tool to collect logs from the app :)

  • Hi @cvv,

There are pros and cons for every logging solutions, sometime it is easier to control the entire stack inside the app, especially if you're developing across multiple platforms and/or different Windows versions.

Did you get any auto-reply from our BitBot with the support ID? I can't find any emails yet from you, I've checked with your forum's email address. If you didn't use your forum's email address, please let me know the support ID instead.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

#PVZ-81573-533 - I used a +alias to sign up for the forum, but didn't open the ticket with it.

    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Thanks, I've found the email and will reply to you there as soon as possible.
