@craig_stallwood: We've made improvements to this in the latest version, so I'm sorry to hear that you're affected by this issue still. If you're still having trouble, the best thing to do will be to restart your PC, reproduce the same issue, and then generate diagnostic information and send it to support+forums@agilebits.com so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening:
- Open the main 1Password app
- In the Search box, type
/log
and press Enter - Save the log and attach it to a new email to support+windows@agilebits.com
Just be sure to include a link to this forum thread and your username in the email so we can 'connect the dots'. You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can quickly track it down. Once we see it we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

Hi @craig_stallwood,
Thanks for writing in.
Are you able to sign into your 1Password account on the web site, 1Password.com using Chrome or Firefox?
This specific error is not a client error, this is just a notice that 1Password.com servers have rate-limited your account and you must wait until the limit is lifted before you can try again. The time is mentioned in the notice of when you can try again.

Thank you brenty.
After examining the logs I figured out what it was. I recently upgraded from a personal to a family account and I saw the app was still connecting via my.1password.com rather than my dedicated family URL. I signed out and back in again with the new settings and it seems to be working now, although I have lost three passwords as they didn't sync :-( but anyway all seems to be OK now.
Thank you for your prompt reply :-)
Craig.

Hi @craig_stallwood,
I'm sorry to hear about the three passwords, that shouldn't happen. To prevent this, we'd like to learn more about what you did, so we can provide better tips in the app. Did you sign out of the previous account before you sign in again?

Hi Mike, yes I signed out using the Sign Out option from the menu in the Windows 10 app, then signed back in again.

Ah, I'm sorry about that. Thanks for confirming. When you sign out, the account and all of its data is removed from the app. Be sure to get in touch if you run into any other issues. :(

Hello!
I have same problem.
I siged out and signed-in again via family account.
But I can see 1password is trying to connect to my personal vault (my.1password.com) again.
Any case I didn't have any error before 10 November although I changed to family account earlier0 -
Hi @sgirenko,
Can you email us your 1Password diagnostics file, so we can see what's going on.
- Click on the start button to search for Event Viewer, open it.
- On the left sidebar, expand Applications and Services Logs, 1Password should show up below here
- Right click on 1Password to select Save all events as and save it as 'logs.txt', set Save as Type to Text (tab delimited) (*.txt)
- Email that file to us at support+windows@agilebits.com and in the email, also include the link to this thread along with your forum username.
Let us know here when you've sent the email, so we can confirm we got it.

Hi MikeT
I have sent log
P.S.
I signed-out , closed application and deleted all files from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\1Password\data.
Now, I can see 1password connected via family account.
But all the changes I did when 1password was offline were lost0 -
Hi @sgirenko,
First, please restore these files from the Trash into a separate folder on your desktop.
In the future, please do not do anything we didn't tell you to do without waiting for us to review your logs first. In addition, do not delete anything without our explicit instruction to do so. You've deleted the only data that could be restored.
Can you confirm you were able to restore these files?

Sorry. I can't restore these files because I permanently deleted them.
But I understood my decision and I knew I could have lost my data.

:( I wish we could've help sooner.
I've updated some of the posts to ask folks reading this not to sign out or do anything else.
