Main window gets lost with dual monitors
I've been using the Windows beta for a while now and it's improving but in the last 2 releases an annoying display bug has come up:
- At work I use an external monitor with a Surface Pro 4.
- I generally open my applications on the external monitor and keep 1Password main window on the Surface screen.
- When I go back to just the Surface screen, I am unable to get at the 1Password main window, even if plug the external monitor back in again.
- If I alt tab, I can see the main window there, but can't get it on to my screen even if I try the usual tricks like right click task bar > cascade windows/show side by side etc.
- If I connect to a different external monitor (e.g. my desk at home), then the 1Password main window appears and I can relocate it back to the Surface screen and all is well again.
If I am away from my home monitor though, the only fix seems to be to go and delete the 1Password settings out of my appdata and start from scratch.
During this, the 1Password mini window works fine, but that doesn't help me when I need to access one time passwords all the time.
This isn't happening in any of my other applications. It seems to me like 1Password is remembering its window position in a bad way.

Hey @smpettit,
Sorry to hear about the issue you're having. We've been getting the occasional report of this happening over the last few weeks.
Here's what has helped many users:- Alt+Tab to activate 1Password.
- Once active press Windows+Up key (to force the window to maximize).
To preserve the location for the future
- use mouse/touch/touchpad/pen to grab 1Password window by the title bar
- and drag it until it loses its maximized state.
Alternatively: do you see a preview of the 1Password main window if you hover over the icon in the task bar? If so, please right click the preview and try out the option that you're offered.
We'll be standing by.
Cheers,
Alex
