Firefox: Looking for the 1Password helper
I've been using 1Password's firefox extension on Windows for more than a year. The last couple of weeks however it hasn't been working as usual. The first time I use Firefox after a restart the usual shortcut to autofill passwords does nothing. When I click on the 1password logo on the toolbar, it opens a new tab that says this:
Looking for the 1Password helper
The 1Password helper must be running for the extension to work properly.
This never used to happen. Any ideas what the issue is?
1Password Version: 4.6.1.616
Extension Version: 4.6.2
OS Version: 6.2.9200

Hi @oldmankit,
Thanks for writing in.
That can happen if 1Password Helper is not being auto-started by Windows.
Try this and see if it works: open the main 1Password 4 program and go to the Help Menu > Restart 1Password Helper, this will repair any registry issues regarding to starting 1Password upon reboots. Restart your browser and see if it works now.
If it does, try rebooting your computer to confirm it is starting up correctly. You should see the
Agile1pAgent.exe
or the1Password (32-bit) with the white lock icon
process under the Background Processes in the Task Manager to confirm it is starting up properly.0 -
Thank you, Mike. That fixed it!
