1Password is not starting on a Windows 10 PC after installation
I just installed 1Password for the first time and the app keeps crashing. I am getting this in the app event viewer. I am trying this app for the first time and this is a little discouraging. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reporting this. Can you tell me if you got 1Password from the Windows Store or from our 1Password.com website?
That looks like the app didn't finish creating the database in time. Can you do this and let me know if it works better:
- Open Windows File Explorer and enter
%LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password - Rename the data folder to backup-data
- Open 1Password

I believe I got it from the 1Password site (Download) but my PC does not even have a 1Password directory or the %LOCALAPPDATA\1Password folder. It seems like it never installed but I have removed it and reinstalled like 3 times.

I have Norton Security but it dos not have any logs that say it stopped from installing.

I got it going!!! Now works!!! I found the directory finally and renames the data directory and it worked. Many Thanks!!!

You're welcome, thanks for updating us on this.
We've implemented an additional workaround for this for the next update, so it shouldn't happen again, hopefully.
