Feature Request / Feedback re multiple suggestions in 1Password

I have ten accounts on Twitter, admittedly I probably need to delete some, as I only use about three. However, it highlights an issue that could be improved:

I only use about three of these accounts, and one of them I use a lot more than the other two. However when I visit twitter.com and click on the 1Password icon in the browser (Chrome on Mac) it suggests my twitter accounts in some unusual order (not alphabetical, not last used etc).

The perfect solution would be to order these by most / last used. That way my top three accounts would show, with my most used account at the top of the list.

p.s. this error is annoying: "You have posted 1 times within 120 seconds. A spam block is now in effect on your account. You must wait at least 300 seconds before attempting to post again". Fast typists are punished! Spam block should use other method, not timing, as it will come up with too many false positives.

  • Hey @SpaceshipEatingCat,

First off: that's a cool username and a very scary prospect when flying around in the vastness of space.

Secondly: 1Password (on Mac and Windows) should sort the logins in 1Password mini by title. Could that be the case? Anyway: That's an interesting suggestion that we can look into. Not sure how this would work effectively but I'm not a programmer who has to figure it out :P

Thirdly: That seems more like a glitch in the forum software than something intentional. Have you seen this more often?

    Cheers,

    Alex

  • Hi Alex

Thanks for the speedy reply, and apologies for my delay in replying.

    1) Yes, my username is a bit scary when you think about it! I love cats in real life... I was just trying to come up with an original username ;)

    2) It doesn't happen on OSX. It seems that it's only on Windows (10) that it shows the first 3-4, then you have to click on something like 'show more' etc. The OSX version does sort alphabetically, so maybe the Windows version does too, however it only shows the first few. If it showed them all, like the OSX version, then that would get rid of the problem I was having, and it would increase consistency between platforms.

    3) I've only seen this happen once. So not sure where that warning comes from? Maybe you could grep the code to find out, and double check if there's any issues in that bit of the code? Or maybe you're using a third-party forum solution?

    Thanks for your support

@SpaceshipEatingCat: No worries. We're pretty much here whenever.

I believe you have achieved your goal. hehe

You bring up some good points. We're working on making things more consistent between platforms, and I think that 1Password mini — especially as we improve the new Windows app — is a crucial place to focus on getting this right. Thanks for your feedback on this!

Well, we don't have access to the code, as we didn't write the forum software. But we'll continue to evaluate different measures to combat spam. I believe that this is stricter lately since spammers recently managed to find there way in. We'll see if there's a better solution.
