Upgraded from 1P3 to 1P4 and new Chrome Extension Not Working

I recently changed hard drives and I lost the 1P3 program, even though the chrome extension was still functioning as it always had. When I went to download the 1P exe, I went with the latest version 1P4. Once I had 1P4 up and running, I deleted the old Chrome extension, and installed the new one. Now, the new extension is completely blank. It isnt finding the vault that's on my hard drive and I can't seem to find a way to direct it. Thoughts? Do I need to create a full, cloud account to make the extension work as it once did?

@jrhave2: It sounds like you may be trying to use an old version of the 1Password extension with the newer app. Please install the latest 1Password browser extension to use with 1Password 4. If you're still having trouble, be sure to let me know what version you're using and clarify what you're seeing. If it's simpler, take a screenshot of this. To include it in your reply, simply click the document button in the top of the comment field, and select the file you wish to share:

    Thanks in advance!

Brenty - Thanks for the reply! I made sure I was using the latest extension - it says 6.1.308d. Just to be triple sure, I deleted the extension, restarted, and reinstalled the latest from your link. Still not finding any of my existing saved accounts/passwords.

    Hey @jrhave2,

I made sure I was using the latest extension - it says 6.1.308d

This is the version number for 1Password 6, not the extension. I'm not sure if this was an accident or not. The latest version of the extension is 4.6.2.90.

Can you install FireFox along with the 1Password extension? I'd like to see if it's chrome or 1Password that's having trouble.

Also, can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? It would help us narrow things down.

Your comment was the answer (in a round about way)! I had a rogue version of iPassword 6 installed and the extension was looking to sync with that, rather than 1P4 on my HD. Your note triggered me to look for it, and once uninstalled, the extension works perfectly. Thanks!

Hey @jrhave2 that's good to know! Thanks for letting us know what caused this issue and I'm happy it was just a bit of a mixup :)
