How do I create local 1password vault from ipw6?
I would like a local copy of my vault stored on agile servers exported from IPW6 but not in csv or txt format (?pif). How do I do this?
Thanks.

@teal_oak: The new 1Password 6 Windows desktop app doesn't yet support 1PIF export, but we're working on it for a future update. In the mean time, CSV and TXT are the only options. Keep in mind that 1PIF, while it's nicer in many ways, is still plaintext, so it isn't any more secure than the alternatives. Be sure to save the exported data in a secure location.

Thanks brenty. I have a licence for 1pw4 and went over to 1pw6 for the beta 6m trial which is due to end soon. As a sole user I cannot justify the 2.99 us dollars subscription per month and plan to go back to 1pw4. I cannot import the exported (from ipw6) back into IPW4 in any useable format.
Thanks

Hey @teal_oak,
I cannot import the exported (from ipw6) back into IPW4 in any useable format.
If you export from 1Password 6 as a CSV as Brenty mentioned and import that file into 1Password 4 by going to "File > Import" and selecting the exported file. You will need to do some configuration to ensure that 1Password 4 selects the correct columns.
If you're having some specific trouble with importing a CSV, please let us know and we'll do our best to help.

No this is not going to work. The fields for a standard login entry in 1pw6 are
iainfo,autosubmit,notesPlain,password,ps,scope,tags,title,urls,username,uuid
and the field offered on 1pw4 import are
title,username,password,url,description,password field name, user fieldname
and that is it! No notesPlain field. It is even worse if a bank account entry. In other words currently there is no way back to 1pw4 from ipw6 without significant manual re-entering of the data.
I am not a happy bunny

Hey @teal_oak, I'm sorry about this. 1Password 6 cannot yet export .1Pif files but this is something we really really want to add.
For the time being you will need to do some manual re-entering for non-login items and I'm sorry for that. I understand how frustrating that can be, but export is definitely an area we plan on improving and we will add it in a future update.
