  • Hello @SJLapthorn, thanks for taking the time to write in! It sounds like you may attempting to sync things up in 1Password between your Windows PC and iPhone via Dropbox? Has 1Password on these two devices ever been in sync or only recently have things fallen out of whack?

I know it may sound overly simplistic, but have you performed a reboot of your iOS device and Windows PC since experiencing this issue? It’s possible a background process that 1Password, Dropbox or the operating system on the devices themselves rely upon to communicate with each other has silently failed and a quick reboot can get you back in business. I’d try that for both devices!

If that doesn’t seem to help, can we try restarting Dropbox on your Windows PC:

Click on the Dropbox icon in the bottom task bar on the right.
Click on the settings icon and select Exit Dropbox.
Find Dropbox in your list of programs and click on it to run it.
Give it a few minutes and with any luck it will kickstart the sync process in Dropbox.

Next, let’s try running the following command in 1Password 4 for Windows on your Windows PC:

    Run 1Password 4 for Windows.
Select File > Repair 1Password Vault.

Let me know if that does the trick. I look forward to hearing back from you. :)

I tried the above but still have a mismatchI have 143 logins, 15 wallet and 6 accounts on my desk-top but 119 logins, 1 secure note, 1 credit card on my phone, some items tally but the opening item on my phone (aaaaa, created as a check does not appear on my desk-top and bbbbb created on my desk-top does not appear on my phone.
I am pretty sure it is my fault as I got into a tangle with the vaults and am now scared if I do sync I may lose some accounts.

@SJLapthorn: No need to worry! Just backup you data. We'll get this sorted out! :)

I wonder if you're simply syncing both devices with Dropbox...but with different vaults. Please follow the steps in this guide, as it will help narrow down the problem:

@SJLapthorn: To be clear, are you actually missing items on one device, or are you just going by the number? It may be that the categories are being reflected differently because 1Password for Windows still supports some legacy types which are not present in 1Password for iOS.

If you're still having trouble, the best thing to do will be to generate a diagnostic report so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Windows)

Please send it to support+forums@agilebits.com with a link to this discussion and your username in the email so we can 'connect the dots'. Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
